Stevens, Cat (1948– )

English singer-songwriter. His folk-inspired songs include ‘Father And Son’ (1970), ‘Moon Shadow’ (1971), ‘Peace Train’ (1971), and ‘Morning has Broken’ (1971). Equally successful as an album artist, his hit albums include Tea for the Tillerman (1970) and Teaser and the Firecat (1971). He became dedicated to the Islamic cause in 1977 and retired from music.
