Stewart, Rod David (1945– )

English rock singer and songwriter who was lead singer of the Faces 1965–75. Known for his gravelly voice and a career that has spanned five decades, he achieved wide success as a solo artist following the album Every Picture Tells A Story (1971), which reached number one in the UK. His hit singles include his signature ‘Maggie May’ (1971), ‘You Wear It Well’ (1972), and ‘Sailing’ (1975).
