Stiffelio

Opera by Giuseppe Verdi (libretto by Francesco Maria Piave), produced at Trieste on 16 November 1850, and revised as Aroldo 1856–57. In the story, the Priest Stiffelio forgives the adulterous wife Lina after her father Stankar has killed her lover, Raffaele.
