Stine, Charles

Stine, Charles (Milton Altland) (1882–1954)

US chemical engineer. He conducted research into dye stuffs, explosives, propellants, paints, varnishes, stains, and various organic chemicals. He developed processes for the manufacture of nitric acid and enamels.

He was born in Norwich, Connecticut. He worked for DuPont from 1907 until his retirement in 1945.
