Stirlingshire

Former county of central Scotland, which in 1975 was divided into the district of Falkirk and part of the district of Stirling, both of Central region, and part of the district of Cumbernauld and Kilsyth in Strathclyde region. Stirlingshire is now divided between the unitary authorities of Stirling, Falkirk, and North Lanarkshire.
