| The town has 10 entries on the National Register of Historic Places including a power house, historic district, and houses. It is also home to the US painter and illustrator Norman Rockwell's Museum. Chesterwood, the summer home of sculptor Daniel Chester French is located in the town as are Naumkeag (1885), the summer cottage designed by Stanford White for the US lawyer and diplomat Joseph Choate; the Berkshire Garden Center; and the 1739 Mission House, later the home of the revivalist Jonathan Edwards. Part of Tanglewood (the summer centre of the Boston Symphony Orchestra) is in Stockbridge. |
