Strange, Curtis Northrup (1955– )

US golfer, professional from 1976, he won the US Open in 1988 and 1989. He was captain of the US Ryder Cup team in 2002.

Strange was born in Virginia. He won his first tournament in 1979 (Pensacola Open). He became the first person to win US$1 million in a season in 1988.
