Stratfield Saye House

House in Hampshire, England, 11 km/7 mi south of Reading. The central portion of the present house was built about 1630. It is the seat of the Duke of Wellington. Wellington chose Stratfield Saye when Parliament voted him a country estate, and after 1817 he filled the house with his acquisitions from Paris, Spain, and contemporary London.

The house contains a collection of French and English furniture and Roman mosaic pavements from Silchester.
