Sturgeon, Nicholas (c. 1390–1454)

English composer. He contributed to the Old Hall Manuscript during the second phase of its existence, when it was in use at the Chapel Royal. Five known works by him survive.

He was a scholar of Winchester College as a child. In 1442, after serving as a clerk of the Chapel Royal, he became a canon of Windsor and precentor of St Paul's Cathedral.
