Operas based on Shakespeare's play by Peter Winter (Munich, 1798) and Frank Martin (Vienna, 17 June 1956).

Work for chorus and orchestra by Jospeh Haydn (not based on Shakespeare) composed in 1798 and performed at his concerts in London.

Also commonly used as the title to Beethoven's piano sonata Op. 31 no. 2 in D minor.
