recommended retail price

Price that a supplier of a product recommends as the final retail price. The supplier may only recommend the price; if they insist on a specified retail price, as in resale price maintenance (RPM), and enter into an agreement with, or coerce, the retailer, they may fall foul of restrictive trade practices legislation in the UK.
