Suomi, Verner Edward (1915–1995)| US meteorologist. He invented the Spinscan weather satellite camera in 1963. At the University of Wisconsin: Madison from 1948, he helped found the Space Science and Engineering Center in 1967 and helped develop the man-computer interactive data access system (McIDAS). |
