surgeon fish

Any fish of the tropical marine family Acanthuridae. It has a flat body up to 50 cm/20 in long, is brightly coloured, and has a movable spine on each side of the tail that can be used as a weapon.

Surgeon Fish - Surgeon Fish swim in the same tank as the Puffer Fish (Fugu).
As you arrive, the pure white sand almost dazzles, as does the thousands of fish with exotic colours matched only by their names - blue faced angel fish, dusky parrot fish, three-striped butterfly fish and velvet surgeon fish are just a few.
Barracuda, bream, coral trout, red emperor, goat fish, jew-fish, long tom, mackerel, milk fish, mullet, parrot fish, rainbow fish, sea perch, surgeon fish, sweet lips, trevally, tuna, unicorn fish and wrasse are commonly caught by fisherman and women.
