Surtees, John (1934– )

English motor-racing driver and motorcyclist, the first person to win world titles on two and four wheels. After winning four 500cc and three 350cc world motorcycling titles 1956–60 with MV Agusta, he turned to motor racing, and driving for Ferrari, won the Formula 1 World Drivers' Championship in 1964. He later produced his own racing cars.
