Surzyński, Józef (1851–1919)

Polish priest and composer. He studied at Regensburg and Leipzig, later taking holy orders in Rome. In 1882 he became director of the cathedral choir at Poznań and in 1894 provost at Kościan. He edited the Monumenta Musices Sacrae in Polonia and Musica Ecclesiastica.
