Szamotulczyk (or Szamotuł), Wacław Z (c. 1524–1560)| Polish composer. He wrote much a cappella church music, some of which was published by printers Johann Berg ‘Montanus’ (died 1563) and his partner Ulrich Neuber (died 1571) of Nuremberg. |
| He studied at Poznań and at Kraków University, and in 1547 became composer to the king. From 1555 he was kapellmeister to Prince Michał Radziwiłł. |
