Taff

River in south Wales rising in the Brecon Beacons and flowing south to enter the Bristol Channel at Cardiff; length 64 km/40 mi; catchment area 526 sq km/203 sq mi. The towns of Merthyr Tydfil, Pontypridd, Aberdare, and the city of Cardiff all lie on the banks of the Taff or its tributaries. The Rhondda joins the Taff at Pontypridd.
