Tagliapietra, Gino (1887–1954)

Italian composer and pianist. He studied with Julius Epstein in Vienna and with Busoni in Berlin. In 1906 he was appointed professor of piano at the Liceo Musicale at Venice. He published an anthology of keyboard music in 18 volumes.

ballet La bella addormentata nel bosco (1926); Requiem and other choral works; piano concerto; piano pieces and studies.
