Tai

Member of any of the groups of Southeast Asian peoples who speak Tai languages, all of which belong to the Sino-Tibetan language family. There are over 60 million speakers, the majority of whom live in Thailand. Tai peoples are also found in southwestern China, northwestern Myanmar (Burma), Laos, and North Vietnam.
