Step 5 (Calculation): Calculate Takt Time Takt, a German word, literally means beat, pace or rhythm.
The system should meet the 'takt' time of the process (the maximum time allowed to produce a product in order to meet demand) with one to three resources, depending on the takt, or cycle time.
Takt Time: the rate at which a part needs to be completed in order to meet customer demand.
