Tanaro

Tanaro

River of northwest Italy; length 274 km/170 mi. It rises in the Ligurian Alps, close to the French border, and flows north and northeast through Piedmont region, past Asti and Alessandria, and joins the River Po 16 km/10 mi northeast of Alessandria.
