Tassoni, Alessandro (1565-1635)

Italian poet. His principal works are the burlesque epic La Secchia Rapita/The Rape of the Bucket 1622, and the prose works Considerazioni sopra il Petrarca/Observations on Petrarch's Poems 1609 (an attack on Petrarch) and Pensieri Diversi/Diverse Thoughts 1612.
