Tatton Park

House in Cheshire, England, 5 km/3 mi north of Knutsford. Originally built in the 17th century, Tatton Park was rebuilt from 1780 to 1813 by Samuel (1737–1807)and Lewis William Wyatt (1777–1853). The house, furniture, silver, and paintings, as well as a 22-ha/54-acre garden, were bequeathed to the National Trust by the 4th Lord Egerton of Tatton, and the 800-ha/1,976-acre estate came to the Trust through the Treasury in 1960. Humphry Repton designed the park and garden.
