Tau Ceti

One of the nearest stars visible to the naked eye, 11.9 light years from Earth in the constellation Cetus. It has a diameter slightly less than that of the Sun, and an actual luminosity of about 45% of the Sun's. Its similarity to the Sun is sufficient to suggest that Tau Ceti may possess a planetary system, and it has been found that it is surrounded by a cloud of debris more than ten times as massive as that surrounding the Sun.
