Taylor

City in southeastern Michigan, 32 km/20 mi southwest of Detroit; population (1990) 70,800. Mainly a residential suburb, it also produces sand and gravel, wood and concrete products, glass, and machinery. The Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport is to the west.

Taylor

City in south-central Texas, 37 km/23 mi northeast of Austin; population (1990) 11,500. It is a commercial centre for sheep, goat, cattle, cotton, poultry, nuts, and grain producers in the area. It also has publishing and a variety of other light industries.
