Taylor, Robert Love (1850–1912)

US Democrat representative, senator, and governor. Elected to the US House of Representatives (1879–81), governor of Tennessee (1887–91, 1897–99), and senator (1907–12), he won fame and fortune as a popular speaker. Taylor was born in Carter County, Tennessee.
