Tayport

Town and former burgh in Fife unitary authority, Scotland, situated on the Firth of Tay, 5 km/3 mi southeast of Dundee; population (2001) 3,850. Diverse employment is provided by foundries, engineering works, timber yards, and linen and jute factories.
