Terrebonne

City in southern Québec, Canada, 21 km/13 mi north of Montréal, on the Rivière des Mille Iles, across from Laval; population (1991) 39,800. Formerly a leading industrial centre, it is now a growing residential suburb.

Mills here on the Ile des Moulins were important in the 18th and 19th centuries.
