Tessier, Charles (lived c. 1600)| French lutenist and composer. He was a musicien de la chambre du roy (court composer) to Henri IV and visited England for some time in the 1590s, dedicating a book of chansons to Lady Penelope Rich (the poet Philip Sidney's ‘Stella’). |
