Town in the county of West Midlands, England, now part of Wolverhampton; population (2001) 22,800.

Wightwick Manor is nearby, decorated in 19th-century Arts and Crafts style with William Morris furnishings, Pre-Raphaelite paintings, and tiles by William de Morgan.

Edward the Elder, King of the West Saxons, defeated the Danes of Northumbria at Tettenhall in 911.
