Texas

Scottish pop and rock band. Formed in Glasgow in 1986, they enjoyed international success with their third album, White on Blonde (1997), which was followed by Hush (1999) and Careful What You Wish For (2003).

The band comprises Sharleen Spiteri (1967- , vocals and guitar), Johnny McElhone (1963- , bass) who formed the band, Eddie Campbell (1965- , keyboards), and Ally McErlaine (1968- , guitar). Their debut album was Southside (1991), which was followed in 1993 by Rick's Road. After the release of White on Blonde Spiteri emerged as the primary writer and spokesperson for the band.
