Thewlis, David (1963– )

English stage and screen actor who won international acclaim for his acerbic performance in Mike Leigh's film Naked (1993).

Other film performances include Life is Sweet (1990), The Trial (1993), Black Beauty (1994), Total Eclipse (1995), Seven Years in Tibet (1997), The Big Lebowski (1998), Besieged (1998), Whatever Happened to Harold Smith? (1999), and Gangster No. 1 (2000). Television performances include The Singing Detective (1986) and The Short and Curlies (1987).
