Dekker, Thomas (c. 1572–c. 1632)

English dramatist and pamphleteer. He wrote mainly in collaboration with others. His play The Shoemaker's Holiday (1600) was followed by collaborations with Thomas Middleton, John Webster, Philip Massinger, and others. His pamphlets include The Gull's Hornbook (1609), a lively satire on the fashions of the day.
