Thornton Cleveleys

Town in Lancashire, northwest England, north of Blackpool; population (2001) 31,150. The district was formed by the joining of Thornton, a village on the River Wyre away from the sea, with Cleveleys on the Fylde coast. The district forms part of the urban coastal area that extends from Fleetwood to Lytham St Anne's south of Blackpool; it is in the Wyre borough of Lancashire.
