Tidbinbilla

Space tracking station in Australia, just south of Canberra. It provides tracking facilities and command transmissions in support of NASA's crewed and uncrewed spacecraft, including the Galileo and Cassini probes and the Gamma-Ray Observatory.

Byline: ANI Sydney, August 28 (ANI): The Tidbinbilla Deep Space Communication Complex outside Canberra, Australia, has sent out more than 25,000 messages to Gliese 581d, the nearest Earth-like planet outside our solar system, which might host life.
The sanctuary is receiving help and support from such institutions as the Adelaide Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary, Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve and Taronga Zoo.
He's just one of the Welsh men and women who have made their careers in Australia, including Stuart Douglas from Caernarfon who works on the satellite dish driver at Tidbinbilla Satellite Tracking Stations in Canberra.
