Tihama

Coastal plain of the Red Sea coast of the Arabian peninsula, stretching 1,200 km /750 mi from northern Saudi Arabia to southern Yemen. It is up to 50 km/31 mi wide. The Tihamah is arid, and is populated by people of African descent.
