Tippecanoe County

County in west-central Indiana; area 1,300 sq km/502 sq mi; population (1990) 130,600. Its capital is Lafayette. It is largely made up of rich farmland; grain and livestock are prominent among its produce. There are diversified manufacturing and packing plants in the Lafayette–West Lafayette area.

The Wabash and Tippecanoe rivers flow through the county.
