Tirimo, Martino (1942– )

Greek-Cypriot pianist and conductor. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London, and at the Vienna Academy. He made his Cyprus recital debut in 1949 and his London debut in 1965. In 1975 and 1985 he gave a complete series of Schubert sonatas. He plays the concertos of Brahms and Tippett, and has directed the Beethoven concertos from the keyboard (Dresden and London, 1985–86).
