Titov, Alexey Nikolaievich (1769–1827)

Russian composer. He managed the Imperial Opera for some time before the death of Catherine the Great in 1796 and became a major-general in the cavalry guards. He wrote around 20 operas, vaudevilles, melodramas, and other stage works.
