Tomba, Alberto (1964– )

Italian skier who became the Olympic and World Cup slalom and giant-slalom champion in 1988. Tomba's gold medal in the giant slalom at the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics enabled him to become the first skier to retain his Olympic gold medal.
