Giottino (lived mid-14th century)

Italian painter of the early Florentine School. He was called Giottino because he worked in the style of Giotto. It is known that he worked in the Vatican. Paintings that have been attributed to him include a Deposition (Uffizi, Florence) and Crucifixion and Adoration (both Sta Maria Novella, Florence).

Giottino's real name is uncertain, but he has been identified with both Tommaso di Stefano and Maso di Banco. Another work attributed to him is The Legend of Constantine and Pope Sylvester (Sta Croce, Florence).
