Torridon, on the west coast of Scotland. Towering above the village and sea-loch of Torridon is Liathach, the highest mountain in the Wester Ross region of the Highlands.

Sea-loch and coastal village in Wester Ross, Highland unitary authority, Scotland, 75 km/47 mi west of Inverness. The inlet extends into a mountainous region of great geological antiquity, consisting predominantly of red sandstone, with some quartzite. This is a stratigraphic division of the Precambrian in Scotland, known as Torridonian. Liathach is the highest point of the region, rising to 1,053 m/3,455 ft.
