Totowa

Town in northeastern New Jersey, adjacent to Paterson; population (1990) 10,200. It produces steel and metal products, tools, furniture, plastics, processed foods, spices, cosmetics, and perfume.

The area was a camping ground for George Washington's army during the Revolution.
