Porthcawl

Town and seaside resort in the county borough of Bridgend, south Wales, 11 km/7 mi west of Bridgend; population (2001) 19,200. It is mainly a residential and retirement centre for the industrial areas of south Wales. It has caravan parks and facilities for surfing.
