Tregaron

Small market town in Ceredigion (Cardiganshire), central Wales, 30 km/19 mi southeast of Aberystwyth; population (2001) 1,200. Nearby Tregaron Bog is of scientific interest for its record of environmental changes preserved in the 10,000-year-old peat. The Cors Goch Caron marshland nature reserve, also in the vicinity, is home to several species of birds including the red kite.
