Latin American dance, originally from Cuba, in which the participants form a winding line, take three steps forwards or backwards, and then kick.

Afro-Cuban barrel drum, long and narrow in shape, played with the fingers and palms; also an Afro-Cuban ballroom dance in duple time (2/4), with a syncopated rhythm.
