Thiruvananthapuram

Capital of Kerala, southwest India; population (2001) 744,700. It has chemical, textile, and rubber industries, and there is an international airport. Formerly the capital of the princely state of Travancore, it has many palaces, an old fort, and a shrine.

Fernandes said that flights to Kochi and Kolkata will operate daily, while there will be two flights to Trivandrum operating two or five times weekly.
KAC flight routes cover New Delhi, Mumbai, Kutchin, Madras, and Trivandrum.
It will begin services to Kochi on 12 November, to Trivandrum on 16 November and Kolkata on 19 November, says the carrier.
