Trumbull County

Trumbull County

County in northeastern Ohio, bounded to the east by Pennsylvania; area 1,585 sq km/612 sq mi; population (1990) 227,800. Its capital is Warren. The county contains cities that are essentially industrial suburbs of Youngstown, such as Girard, Niles, and Warren, where steel milling is important. Diversified agriculture includes clover, dairy, grain, and livestock farming.

The county is intersected by the Grand and Mahoning rivers and contains Mosquito Lake.
