| Italian soprano. She sang in Milan, London, and San Francisco from 1959. In 1960 she appeared at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York, as Butterfly. Other roles included Marguerite, Mimi, and Violetta. From 1983 she taught at Indiana University. |
