Tully Castle

Tully Castle

Scottish-style plantation castle at Tully, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Built in 1618 by Sir John Hume, ancestor of the Humes of Castle Hume, it comprised a square fortified house and bawn (grass or meadow area). The castle was destroyed in 1641when it was captured and burned by Rory Maguire. The castle gardens have been recreated.
